I’m running for Saline County Commissioner!

Saline County has always been my home. I was born, raised and rooted in Saline County, married my husband here 37 years ago, and raised our two children in this community.

 I’m not running to build a political career—I’m running to bring common-sense business discipline and real-world accountability to our local government.

With a Bachelor of Science Degree in business degree from K-State, a career as a real estate broker, and helping run our family farm, I see the full picture of Saline County. I understand the needs of our urban centers and our rural backbone alike.

Right now, our households and farms are facing an unprecedented financial squeeze. We cannot keep balancing the county budget by asking our hard-working citizens to pay more in property taxes. Government needs to tighten its belt, just like our families do.

When inflation hits, Saline County families have to sit down at the kitchen table and make tough choices. They find ways to operate more efficiently. Unfortunately, when county costs go up, the traditional political response is to study the problem to death, create a new committee, and compound the problem with more red tape.

I have a total refusal to let local government compound our problems.

Instead of looking at exceeding the revenue-neutral rate and raising property taxes on current citizens, we need to be proactive. My background as a real estate broker equips me with the exact skills needed to market our county and actively recruit commercial and industrial partners.

By expanding our business tax base, we can cover the county’s rising costs and fund vital services without raising tax rates on homeowners and farmers.

I’m running to be Your Proactive Choice on the County Commission because it’s time to stop reacting to crises and start planning for long-term prosperity.

Saline County isn't just Salina; our vibrant agricultural community is the backbone of our entire local economy. 

Helping run a working farm has taught me the reality of rising costs, unpredictable markets, and the absolute necessity of a balanced budget. Out here, if you don't solve a problem efficiently the first time, it costs you your livelihood.

I will bring a results-driven, no-nonsense accountability to the County Commission table. I understand the unique challenges facing our rural roads, bridges, and agricultural families because I live them every day.
